Welcome to The Mind Spark
Our Professional Counselor:
Keilli Brathwaite
I graduated from St. Augustine’s College High School in 1998. I then pursued tertiary education at the University of Western Ontario, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I completed my Program in Clinical Mental Health at Barry University in December 2023 and received my Master’s Degree in January 2024.
I consider myself a beautiful soul, a helpful nature, and a desire to put duty before self. This drew me to become a volunteer with The Bahamas Red Cross Society – where I find fulfillment in going into the community and volunteering my time and talents as needed. My mantra is “teamwork makes the dream work”, and I aspire to be an essential contributor to any team I am a part of. I endeavor to leave everyone I come into contact with, in a much better state than how I met them – even if that is only to put a smile on someone’s face.
After the Bahamas experienced Hurricane Dorian in 2019, and the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, I realized the importance of making Mental Health Care accessible to individuals in need of counseling. This inspired me to enroll in school and obtain the qualifications to counsel.

Professional Experience
Counseling Expertise
At The Mind Spark, we bring a wealth of experience in providing counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. Our approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based practices to help our clients achieve their mental health goals.

My approach to mental health counseling is a collective of several therapeutic approaches but is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is based on the notion that a person's own negative thoughts and beliefs lead to their negative behavior.
